AS203446 Smartmitigate

SmartMitigate is AS203446's own anti-DDoS solution designed for application-specific attacks. SmartMitigate enforces strict TCP/UDP authentication. New TCP clients must perform their initial TCP handshake twice, once to SmartMitigate, after which SmartMitigate transparently forwards the session.

SmartMitigate sends the scrubbed traffic directly to generic mitigation. The generic mitigation cannot be deactivated. SmartMitigate scrubs the UDP traffic for some games/applications. You can see the list below. This means that the UDP and the mentioned TCP traffic flows permanently through SmartMitigate. The traffic is then sent back to the generic mitigation.

Please note: Sessions that are created only a few seconds after the threshold is reached can still be dropped.
